TRAINING OVERVIEW
This training is geared towards enabling the Database Analyst in formulating adequate answers to business information requirements, which may come in the form of reporting requirements or ad-hoc/one-off specific requests.
The training is primarily for participants in Database Analyst or related business roles such as Data Collector, Data Analyzer, Report Writer and Business Analyst to name a few. It is designed for a small-audience. Participants are expected to have advanced SQL knowledge in combination with at minimum one year of recent practical experience. Individuals without formal training but with extensive hands-on experience may also successfully participate. There is room to analyze/discuss practical problems. Activities are conducted in-class, some are take-home assignments and there are two evaluation moments.
INSTRUCTIONAL METHOD AND REQUIREMENTS
- During this training, participants can expect:
• Classroom setting Lectures, with sufficient room to analyze real-world problems;
• Very hands-on in-class assignments;
• Take-home assignments.
There is one mid-course evaluation and the course is concluded by means of the final exam.
REQUIRED TRAINING MATERIALS
The training will be conducted based on PL/ SQL, but the training environment will be Oracle Database 11g Express
Edition including Oracle development tools. While a wealth of valid online-resources is available and can surely be
referenced, prescribed reading remains authoritative.
ABOUT THE LECTURER
ing. Eugene Weewee MSc – Passionate, innovative, analytic. Tenno has a strong and diverse ICT background, having worked in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium in diverse industries. He is experienced in designing, developing and improving quality software products for
diverse industries and also experienced in domains like oil and gas, chemical, logistics and food processing.
With a Bachelor degree in Embedded Systems (2009) he continued his career as an Industrial Software Engineer in the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium where he has gained experiences in software design, programming (Java, C#.Net, G2, RASCAL), databases (Oracle, PL/SQL, MSSQL, Firebird, MySQL), Data Historians (Osisoft PI, Honeywell PHD), OPC etc. In 2010 – 2011 he studied mathematics at the Technical University of Eindhoven to upgrade his mathematical background.

These courses are an integral part of the IMIT education program accredited by the “National Orgaan voor Accreditatie” (NOVA). The successful completion of the course entitles non-IMIT students an IMIT (sub) certificate. IMIT is recognized by The Ministry of Education, Science and Culture (MINOWC).
